Privacy-first by design

Jawmax has no accounts and no sign-up. Everything you do — your quiz answers, Jaw Score, scans, progress, streaks, habits and photos — is stored only on your device. We do not run a server that receives it.

There is one exception, and we want to be direct about it. To learn which ad or link brought you to Jawmax, the app shares limited device and install information with our measurement partner, Singular. This is described in full under Advertising and attribution below. It never includes your camera frames, face data, scores, or photos.

Your camera and face scan

The face scan and live rep-counting use your front camera and on-device face detection (Google ML Kit). Frames are analysed in real time on your phone and are never recorded, uploaded, or sent to us or any third party. We do not store video.

Face data

Jawmax uses your device's front camera and on-device face detection (Google ML Kit) to locate your face and measure its geometry — the position of facial landmarks, the jaw and face outline, and head angle. This is face detection, not face recognition: the app does not create a faceprint, biometric template, or any identifier that could be used to recognize or identify you, and it does not use Apple's TrueDepth/ARKit face-tracking. Camera frames are analyzed in real time in your device's memory and are immediately discarded — never recorded, uploaded, or stored. From this analysis the app keeps only (1) numeric scores (your Jaw Score and six sub-measurements) and (2) any progress photo you choose to save. Both are stored solely in the app's private storage on your device. Face data is never transmitted off your device, never shared or sold to any third party, and never used for advertising or marketing. There is no server, so we never receive or retain a copy. This data remains on your device until you delete it via Settings → Delete all data, or by deleting the app.

Photos

Progress photos you choose to capture are saved only in the app's private storage on this device. They are never uploaded. You can delete them at any time by deleting your data (below) or removing the app.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or biometric identifiers. We do not sell your personal information. Aside from the attribution data described in the next section, we use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs — and no third party, including our measurement partner, ever receives your face data, camera frames, scans, Jaw Score, or photos.

Advertising and attribution

Jawmax works with Singular (Singular Labs, Inc.), a mobile measurement partner, to understand which ad, campaign, or link led someone to install the app. Singular processes this information on our behalf, as our service provider, under its own privacy policy.

What is shared with Singular:

• Device and app information — device model, operating system version, app version, language, country, IP address (used to derive an approximate region, not a precise location), and timestamps.
• Advertising identifiers — on iOS, Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and only if you allow tracking when your device asks. On Android, the Google Advertising ID.
• Install and session events — when the app was installed and opened.
• Three milestone events — finishing onboarding, completing your first scan, and completing your first exercise session.
• Purchase events — if you buy the Pro unlock, Superwall reports the purchase and its amount to Singular on our behalf, so we can measure whether advertising pays for itself. Refunds are reported the same way. This never includes payment details.
